Pyrolysis Facility for the Recycling of Aluminum
Used aluminum beverage cans (UBC) are considered high-grade recycled aluminum feedstock due to their stable composition and low impurity content. During actual recycling, if surface paints and coatings cannot be effectively removed, it not only affects subsequent smelting quality but also increases energy consumption and processing costs. Therefore, a stable and efficient paint removal process is a critical link in the aluminum can recycling system.
Addressing this need, our aluminum recycling facility employs a “shredding pre-treatment + pyrolytic de-painting” approach, which has become a mature and reliable solution.
Core Equipment Configuration and Workflow

Carbonization Paint Removing Furnace Structure
This aluminum can de-painting and recycling line primarily consists of two core pieces of equipment: a single-shaft shredder and a pyrolytic de-painting furnace (rotary kiln). Waste aluminum cans first enter the single-shaft shredding system. Through low-speed, high-torque shearing, whole cans or compressed aluminum can briquettes are shredded into uniform flakes. This process not only facilitates subsequent thermal treatment but also significantly improves de-painting efficiency and processing stability.
The shredded aluminum then enters the pyrolytic paint removal furnace. Within a controlled, sealed environment, precise temperature regulation triggers pyrolysis reactions on the aluminum surface, completely stripping away paint, coatings, and organic contaminants without melting or oxidizing the aluminum substrate. Gases generated during paint removal can be recovered or purified via an integrated treatment system, ensuring safe and environmentally responsible operation.
Process Advantages and Application Value
Compared to traditional chemical cleaning or manual processing methods, this pyrolytic paint removal aluminum recycling equipment offers distinct advantages in continuity, processing capacity, and environmental performance. The entire line features a clear operational structure, requiring only two core steps to convert waste aluminum cans into high-quality aluminum material with a clean surface suitable for direct smelting.
This production line accommodates both bulk aluminum cans and baled UBC (used beverage container) blocks, demonstrating strong adaptability to raw materials. Its stable paint removal performance effectively reduces energy consumption and slag volume in subsequent smelting stages, enabling recycled aluminum enterprises to achieve more controllable production costs and higher material utilization rates.
From both resource circulation and economic return perspectives, the aluminum can paint stripping pyrolysis recovery equipment offers the recycled aluminum industry a highly efficient, low-waste technical pathway. It aligns with current environmental trends while delivering solid long-term operational value.
