Automatic Solar Panel Dismantling Line for Hong Kong Customer
The fully automated solar panel dismantling line utilises robotic arms for gripping, conveying, positioning, and step-by-step dismantling, feeding waste photovoltaic modules into a continuous processing flow. It sequentially removes the junction boxes and aluminium frames, reducing manual handling and repetitive tasks, and preparing the materials for the subsequent sorting and recycling of glass, aluminium and other components.
Automated Loading via Robotic Arms
At a client’s project site in Hong Kong, SUNY GROUP installed a fully automated solar panel dismantling line. The equipment utilises industrial robotic arms for automated gripping, transferring photovoltaic modules from the loading station to the dismantling line, thereby completing the automated loading and transition between workstations.
Junction Box Removal Followed by Aluminium Frame Removal
Once the photovoltaic modules enter the dismantling line, the equipment sequentially removes the junction box and aluminium frame in accordance with the pre-set process. The junction box is typically located on the rear of the module, whilst the aluminium frame is secured around the perimeter; as their structures, positions and removal methods differ, processing them in separate stages facilitates better control of the dismantling process.
Project Value and Customer Feedback
This project demonstrates the practical value of a fully automated solar panel dismantling line in reducing manual labour, standardising the dismantling sequence and improving the continuity of the production process. Furthermore, the client has expressed satisfaction with the equipment’s automation configuration and its performance on site.
