Electronic waste most of waste household appliances

David Malone, deputy secretary-general of the United Nations said, should take more measures to recycle electronic waste, mining valuable resources. The world in 2014 41.8 million tons of e-waste, contain 16 million tons of iron, 1.9 million tons of copper and 300 tons of gold, and precious metals such as palladium. The report estimates that these resources accumulated $52 billion.
Malone also stressed, however, because many electronic devices use toxic substances such as lead, and the giant electronic waste is the potential toxic library, toxic substances must be handled carefully, otherwise very dangerous.
