The working principle of lead smelting furnace

1. The mixed charge passes through the vertical reaction chamber in a suspended state, from top to bottom, to complete the oxidation and melting of the lead-zinc ore production process. The process is continuous. The whole process is divided into several parts, such as drying, flash smelting, slag depletion and flue gas treatment.

2. The sulfur in the concentrate is oxidized into sulfur dioxide and enters the flue gas. The molten crude lead and slag produced are accumulated in the precipitation zone of the furnace. The sulfur content of the crude lead is very low. Through more thorough oxidation, the content of crude lead can be reduced. The sulfur content is less than 10%. The efficiency of the burner is very high, and through it, the oxidation process can be strictly controlled. Therefore, the utilization rate of oxygen in this process is close to 100%.

3. In the settling tank of the furnace of the lead-zinc ore crusher, the molten particles are separated from the flue gas flow to form a slag layer. The precious metal enters the crude lead and is continuously released from the bottom of the settlement tank together with the crude lead. Due to the use of oxygen, the amount of lead and sulfur dioxide released is very small. With Outokumpu method, all processes, including slag depletion, can be carried out in one device, and the yield of crude lead is higher, while the yield of slag is lower. The temperature in the furnace is low and can handle wet materials. This method greatly improves the lead smelting efficiency of the lead smelting furnace.
