Spiral Pulverizer for Soft Material Recycling
The Spiral Pulverizer, also known as the Spiral Shredder, is a low-speed, high-torque crushing device designed for soft, tough, and easily tangled materials such as old clothes, woven bags, agricultural films, PP packing straps, and pet training mats. It is primarily used for pre-treatment in processes such as volume reduction, coarse crushing, and subsequent washing and granulation.
The spiral cutting structure solves the problem of soft material entanglement.
Unlike ordinary high-speed crushing equipment, the core of the Spiral Pulverizer is the spiral cutting roller. After the material enters the feed inlet, it is actively gripped by the rotating spiral blades and continuously conveyed to the cutting area, while simultaneously working with the fixed blades to complete shearing, tearing, and compression. For loose and easily tangled materials such as old clothes, plastic films, and ton bags, this "conveying and cutting simultaneously" method reduces material slippage and entanglement-induced blockages.
The equipment mainly consists of a feeding system, spiral cutting roller, fixed blade holder, reduction drive system, and discharge conveying system. The spiral cutter roller uses wear-resistant alloy blades, and its low-speed operation combined with a high-torque reduction mechanism makes the equipment more suitable for continuously processing lightweight but bulky soft waste materials. Some configurations can also be connected to a dust collection system to adapt to different material processing environments.
Multiple Models with Capacities of 100–1500 kg/h
SUNY GROUP currently offers models covering processing capacities of approximately 100–1500 kg/h. For example, the SMC-800F has a rated capacity of approximately 100 kg/h and a power of 7.5 + 1.5 kW; the SMC-1200F approximately 200 kg/h and a power of 15 + 2.2 kW; the SMC-1600F approximately 400 kg/h; the SMC-2400F approximately 600 kg/h; and the larger SMC-3200F can reach approximately 1500 kg/h. The equipment size and drive configuration for different models are adjusted as the processing capacity increases.

The output size can be configured according to subsequent processes, with existing solutions covering approximately 5–150 mm, and larger models reaching 10–300 mm. For materials requiring further cleaning, compression, or granulation, the cutting length is typically selected based on the feed size of downstream equipment, rather than simply aiming for a finer output.
Therefore, this type of equipment is more suitable as a front-end coarse crushing unit in flexible waste recycling lines: first, it cuts large, easily tangled materials into relatively uniform fragments before they enter the conveying, cleaning, sorting, compression, or granulation processes. Its actual value is not just "chopping the material," but rather ensuring a more stable feed condition for subsequent equipment.
For flexible waste such as old clothing, waste textiles, PP woven bags, agricultural film, plastic packaging, PP strapping, and pet pads, the Spiral Pulverizer is particularly suitable for volume reduction and pretreatment.
