Turnkey Multi-Process PV Recycling & Material Separation Line
The solar PV module recycling production line is an automated system that integrates heat treatment, mechanical disassembly, and metal sorting. It is designed to process end-of-life, damaged, and decommissioned solar panels, enabling the efficient recovery of materials such as aluminium, glass, copper, silicon, and plastic.
Turnkey Multi-Process PV Recycling & Material Separation Line
Synergistic Process of Heat Treatment and Mechanical Disassembly
Our PV Recycling Line first conveys waste photovoltaic modules to the pre-treatment area via an automated conveyor system, ensuring continuous feeding according to module dimensions. The heat treatment equipment softens and breaks down the EVA adhesive film by controlling the temperature, making it easier to separate the glass layer from composite materials such as solar cells and back sheets. Compared to direct mechanical crushing, heat treatment reduces the glass breakage rate and improves the effectiveness of subsequent sorting.
Following thermal treatment, the modules enter the mechanical disassembly equipment for further processing through stages such as crushing, screening and separation. The equipment classifies materials according to their physical properties, directing glass, metals and non-metallic materials into their respective recycling processes.
Multi-stage Sorting for Material Recovery
A complete photovoltaic module typically consists of approximately 70 per cent glass, whilst also containing aluminium frames, copper wires, silicon and small amounts of plastic. This recycling system utilises a combination of various sorting equipment to separate the different components.

Materials Recovered from Photovoltaic Panels
Once dismantled, the aluminium frames can be directly recycled and reused; copper wires and conductive materials are processed through crushing and air separation equipment to recover the copper they contain. As for the plastic and silicon powder present in the mixed material, these are further purified through subsequent processes such as screening and air classification.
Design and Application Features of the Automated Production Line
The Turnkey Multipurpose PV Recycling & Metallurgical Recovery Line typically comprises an automatic feeding system, heat treatment equipment, crushers, screeners, air separators, conveying equipment, and a control system, and can be designed in a modular fashion to meet the customer’s processing capacity requirements.
The entire production line employs a centralised control system to enable continuous operation and minimise manual intervention. The equipment’s processing capacity can be adjusted according to project scale, with different capacity configurations available for everything from small and medium-sized recycling enterprises to large-scale photovoltaic material processing centres.
Compared with single-stage crushing and recycling methods, the thermomechanical mixing process places greater emphasis on preserving the value of the materials. By minimising glass loss and improving metal separation efficiency, the recovered glass, aluminium, copper and silicon materials can meet the requirements for subsequent processing, thereby establishing a more comprehensive recycling system for the photovoltaic industry.
